The platform emerged from a recognition that while cinematic and curatorial practices in the region are active and ambitious, sustained independent infrastructures to support them remain limited.

Dr. Veena Hariharan holds a PhD from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles' School of Cinematic Arts. Her essays and articles on documentary, non-fiction cinema and the environment have appeared in journals and edited volumes. Most recently, Veena was Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow at Goethe University, Frankfurt (2022-24) where she worked on non-human human entanglements in cinema and new media. Veena is a co-investigator on the AHRC-UKRI project, 'Connecting Creative Industries and Cultural Heritage: India-UK Film Festival Federation, Youth Curation and Community Co-creation'. She has also served in various capacities for film festivals including Indian Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA), 3rd San Francisco IFF, and the Habitat Film Club. She is currently completing a book manuscript on contemporary non-fiction cinema in India.

Prateek is a film programmer, curator, and writer working across film festivals, cultural institutions, and independent curatorial platforms. He has led international and national programming initiatives for major institutions including NFDC, IFFI, MIFF, and IFFD. He has served on international juries (Brooklyn FF, Arts Thread) and selection committees. His writing has appeared in academic and critical publications, including Bright Lights Film Journal and Brill Series.

Tirna is a Kolkata-based researcher and cultural practitioner. She holds a Doctorate in Cinema Studies from the School of Arts & Aesthetic, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her work has been featured in various leading journals and publications including Film Philosophy & Brill. Her interests include boredom studies in cinema, philosophy of the moving image, and contemporary explorations of form.
